The Philip L. Van Every Foundation Board named Crystal Thomann as its new executive director in September 2021. Crystal brings more than 10 years of experience working in the local nonprofit community. Crystal specializes in relationship building and strategic thinking. She graduated from Roanoke College with a degree in English and Marketing. Crystal is inspired daily by her husband, Matt, and their two children, Lillian and William. In her free time, Crystal enjoys traveling, photography, exploring the outdoors by hiking or biking, and reading a good fiction novel. Crystal succeeded Dick Pahle who retired after six years of dedicated service.
