Assets of the Philip L. Van Every Foundation have grown exponentially since its inception in 1961 and the death of Mr. Van Every in 1980. To date, more than $47 million in grant awards have been distributed to qualified nonprofit organizations working to meet the needs of individuals residing in the North and South Carolina communities where Mr. Van Every lived and worked.
